A rising talent from upstate New York, Caponedagod blends street-smart lyricism with smooth, laid-back instrumentals, reflecting the grit of Buffalo and his relentless ambition. His early roots in the church laid the foundation for a music career grounded in authenticity and drive, while his personal style emphasizes luxury.
With his upcoming mixtape, #NahFr, Capone highlights a lifestyle of success as he pursues dreams of acting and building a lasting legacy for his family.
HOW OLD WERE YOU WHEN YOU MADE YOUR FIRST SONG, AND WHEN DID YOU FEEL CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO BEGIN TO SHARE YOUR MUSIC?
CAPONE: Probably 16. It sucked though, it was just for fun but people at school liked it so I never stopped.
WHO ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVORITE ARTISTS OR PROJECTS THAT YOU HAVE BEEN LISTENING TO?
C: Babyface Ray, Veeze, Boldy James.
HOW DO YOU PERSONALLY DEFINE SUCCESS, AND WHAT MILESTONES OR ACHIEVEMENTS MARK SUCCESS FOR YOU?
C: Success is what you make it to be. There’s no scale for it. My milestone for personal success is to retire my parents with my art.
WHAT’S YOUR CREATIVE PROCESS LIKE?
C: My creative process depends day to day, I can’t even explain it. I wrote like half a project on a plane once but couldn’t write for another month after. It’s iffy.
HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH YOUR AUDIENCE?
C: Just be relatable. Be human, I'm not cooler than anyone and I'm not unapproachable. I’m Capone.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN THE NEXT 5-10 YEARS?
C: In movies. I want to act, man. I love music to death but I want to use it to get into new opportunities like starring in movies.
