Due for a September 3rd release date, the much anticipated Air Jordan XXXI dubbed 'Banned' will be making its 'Bred' color way debut at both of our locations. For those that are unfamiliar with the story behind this model, Jordan received a $5,000 USD fine by the NBA for each time he wore his red and black shoes on the court. Going into the technicalities of the shoe, a black synthetic leather heel translates to a lightweight red Flyweave toe. A large Jumpman logo is found on the heel, serving as a focal point, with primarily tonal coloring and only the front of the swoosh is visible on the side panel. The sole features the word “BANNED” spelled out on both the left and right sneaker under the translucent red outsole. In a performance perspective, Nike Zoom and Flightspeed tech paired with a foam inner-sleeve create a shoe that is both comfortable and supportive.
