Introducing the APB x Yellowbrick x Reebok Classic Leather Legacy “Duality”⁠

Inspired by the “Dream in the night, achieve in the day” motto, “Duality” was crafted by three aspiring students with a passion for design, creativity, and industry knowledge. Isaac “Ikey” Reeves, Ashley Hamilton, and Ben Gass, all collaborated with a goal to create something unique with meaning and impact that the community could connect with. With proper mentorship and guidance, the students were able to bring the concept to life.

The limited 150 numbered pairs are designed to be universal to whoever chooses to wear them. Living true to the motto, the sneaker has specific elements that speak to the core meaning of “Duality”. Sporting day and night color schemes, the sneaker arrives in yellow, blue, black, and white with a gradient component to represent the sunset. Designed with style and comfort in mind, the exclusive to APB sneaker is completed with special features such as nylon and reflective upper materials, a lace closure, glow-in-the-dark leather overlays, a die-cut EVA midsole, and a signature Reebok imprint on the bottom to complete the look.

The Story Behind The Partnership:

Reebok, in partnership with Yellowbrick, drove an initiative that covered sneaker development from top to bottom. Launched in 2021, the program worked with a cohort of 36 young talented dreamers - aged 17-20 to develop the relevant knowledge, skills, and experience needed for careers within the creative sector. 

Narrowed down to three students, Isaac “Ikey” Reeves, Ashley Hamilton, and Ben Gass from there, the process of creating something new and exciting began. The program garnered an experience for the students to learn everything there is about the process that goes into a full rollout including design, sales, marketing, and the C-to-C retail market. At the end of the program, all participants produced a final project that included a sneaker design, production, retail, and marketing strategies. 

APB is excited to have been a part of this incredible experience for Reeves, Hamilton, and Gass.
