#APBMusic: PG RA

This month, #APBMusic travels to our Columbia location to feature rapper PG RA from Orangeburg, SC. Inspired by his mother's early rap career, PG has embraced her musical influence and started a career of his own. Now, with his mother as one of his biggest fans, the South Carolina rapper is driven by a vision to conquer the Carolina music scene while supporting his loved ones along the way.

After his performance, we sat down with him to talk about why he started making music, reaching his full potential and the confidence he carries in his career.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY INSPIRED YOU TO GET INTO MUSIC?

PG: My Mother. She was a rapper when I was little. She stopped after I got in a fight with a kid at school, who pulled up a video of her in the computer lab.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?

PG: Being able to effortlessly help people in need, without feeling affected in any form.

WHEN DID YOU FEEL CONFIDENT ENOUGH TO BEGIN TO SHARE YOUR MUSIC WITH YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY?

PG: Instantly. My first beat was given to me by my mother when I was 19 and I recorded the song with one of my closest partners.

WHAT DOES STYLE MEAN TO YOU?

PG: I think style means Swag, Confidence, and Demeanor.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AND YOUR MUSIC IN 5-10 YEARS?

PG: For me the sky's the limit. I just want to reach my full potential and be one of the biggest artists in the Carolinas and the world.
