Frequently Asked Questions

APB YOU is designed for community-driven gatherings. We host free, open-to-the-public events led by creatives, nonprofits, interest groups, and community organizations. Events can include workshops, cultural conversations, club meet-ups, and other activities that bring people together around shared interests. We do not host ticketed events, personal celebrations (like birthdays or baby showers), or events where items are sold.

Our spaces welcome creatives, nonprofits, community organizations, and interest groups who want to connect with the community. All APB locations can host community events even if they do not have a dedicated APB YOU space.

We recommend submitting your inquiry 6–8 weeks in advance to allow enough time for review, approval, and promotion. We may accept closer-dated events, but promotion on our channels cannot be guaranteed in those cases.

Yes, you can request a walk-through of the space after submitting your initial inquiry form.

Yes, outside food and beverages are allowed. Event hosts are responsible for all food and beverage vendors. If alcohol is served, it must come from a licensed vendor, and the host must provide a dedicated team member to check IDs.

Hosts typically receive 1–2 hours of early access prior to the event start time, depending on the size and needs of the event. Exact setup times will be confirmed during the approval process.

Yes, décor is allowed as long as it does not cause damage or permanently alter the space. Nothing may be attached to walls or fixtures in a way that leaves marks or holes.

Since our events are free to the community, we ask hosts to honor their commitment. Frequent cancellations may result in loss of booking privileges in the future.

You are welcome to bring your own photographer or videographer. While we occasionally document events, coverage is not guaranteed.

Yes. We do not allow ticketed events, sales-focused events, or private personal celebrations (such as birthdays, baby showers, etc.). All events must be free and open to the public.

Yes. For approved events booked at least 6–8 weeks in advance, we provide an Eventbrite registration link, a flyer, and social media promotion across our channels. Events booked closer to the date may still run in the space but are not guaranteed promotional support.
